Overview
Build an advanced technology project through a complete three-month industry-style workflow, from stakeholder requirements, architecture and agile planning to development, integration, validation, change requests, documentation and final handover. Finish with a functional outcome, case study, portfolio and technical defence.
TechnoBerg's highest IPDP level: an advanced, industry-oriented project programme in which learners follow professional discovery, engineering, development, validation and delivery practices to produce a functional prototype, product feature or technology solution. It combines expert technical supervision, approved project materials, agile/version-control practices, industry-style reviews, documentation and portfolio presentation, and emphasises practical competence, teamwork, technical communication, responsible engineering and portfolio readiness. Learners remain active contributors and must understand and defend the completed work.
The programme provides simulated or institution-managed industry-style practice using professional roles, briefs, reviews, change requests, deadlines and handover procedures. 'Internship-style training' describes a supervised experiential-learning method; it is not automatically employment, a statutory internship, paid work, placement or a job guarantee. An external company project, site placement, internship, stipend, employment or client publication is not guaranteed; any such engagement requires a separate written agreement covering scope, supervision, confidentiality, IP, safety, attendance and permissions, and applicable approvals.
Who should join, and what to bring.
Who should join
- Final-year students, advanced technical learners, innovation teams, high-potential learners and early-career developers seeking deeper technical involvement and structured industry-style project practice.
- College, undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Students completing mini, final-year or capstone projects.
- Individuals or teams developing innovation or competition projects.
- Departments seeking structured external technical mentoring.
- Students working in approved areas such as AI, robotics, embedded systems, IoT, automation, software, data, electronics and intelligent systems.
Recommended before you start
- Admission requires technical feasibility, learner capability, safety, schedule and material approval.
By the end, you will be able to:
- Translate an industry or stakeholder need into scope, requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Develop architecture, interface specifications, detailed engineering plans and test strategy.
- Use agile boards, version control, risk/change logs and professional review gates.
- Select, procure and manage approved materials within a signed bill of materials and value ceiling.
- Develop, integrate and troubleshoot complex technical subsystems.
- Verify functionality, safety, performance, reliability, usability and limitations.
- Respond to client-style feedback and controlled change requests.
- Produce professional documentation, compliance evidence, user guidance and handover files.
- Present a working outcome, case study, portfolio and technical defence.
- Develop teamwork, responsibility and technical communication.
- Validate the challenge and intended users
- Define requirements, architecture and responsibilities
- Approve materials, milestones and testing criteria
- Develop modules through supervised practical sessions
- Integrate, debug and optimise the solution
- Validate results and document limitations
- Prepare portfolio summary, report and final demonstration
TechnoBerg provides mentoring and development support; students must actively participate, understand and be able to explain the work they submit. College project rules and faculty supervision remain applicable. Third-party code, data, designs and AI tools must be disclosed appropriately. Plagiarism, fabricated results, unsafe testing and false certification are prohibited. Risk-sensitive projects require suitable authorisation, safety and data controls. IP ownership and publication rights must be agreed for sponsored or commercially relevant projects.
