Cookie Policy

What this site stores in your browser, and what it does not.

Last reviewed 6 October 2026

Draft for legal review. This page describes how the site works today; its final wording comes from TechnoBerg’s legal adviser.

The short version

The site sets no cookies of its own. Google Analytics, which shows TechnoBerg which pages people find useful, sets cookies only if you allow it. Nothing is used for advertising.

What the site stores

Two values, neither of them a cookie:

  • Whether you have seen the opening animation, so it plays once per visit rather than on every page. It is kept in your browser’s session storage and cleared when you close the tab.
  • Your answer to the analytics question, so you are not asked on every page. It is kept in your browser’s local storage until you change it or clear this site’s data.

Your language choice is part of the page address, not a cookie. The security check that protects the enquiry forms is part of the form itself, not a cookie.

Analytics, only if you allow it

If you allow analytics, Google Analytics 4 is loaded through Google Tag Manager and sets these cookies on this site:

  • _ga: tells one visitor from another, without telling TechnoBerg who you are. Kept for up to two years.
  • _ga_ followed by an identifier: remembers the current visit, so the pages you view count as one session. Kept for up to two years.

Google receives the pages you visit, roughly where you are (by country and city), and the kind of device and browser you use. Advertising features and personalised advertising are switched off. The text of an enquiry and any file you send are never passed to analytics.

If you decline, Google Tag Manager is not loaded at all, so neither Google nor anyone else receives anything from your visit.

Changing your answer

Use Cookie settings at the foot of any page. If you withdraw consent, the analytics cookies are deleted and analytics stops at once.

Staff sign-in

The administration system, used only by TechnoBerg staff, sets a sign-in cookie for staff accounts. Visitors to the public site never receive it.

Clearing what is stored

Clearing this site’s data in your browser removes everything listed here, and the site asks the analytics question again on your next visit.
